ABOUT

Interested in the intersections of taste, travel, and the building of collections, I am an art historian of early modern Europe and Assistant Curator of Prints and Drawings at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA), with a specialization in Old Master works on paper.

BACKGROUND

I received an undergraduate degree from Washington and Lee University, a Master’s degree in the History of Art from the University of Illinois, Chicago, and a PhD in the History of Art from Rice University.

My research has been supported by the Samuel H. Kress Foundation, the Mellon Foundation, the Brown Foundation at Rice University, the James T. Wagoner Scholarship at Rice University, the Lodieska Stockbridge Vaughn Fellowship at Rice University, and the Paul Mellon Centre for Studies in British Art at Yale University.

I teach on the topics of Renaissance and Mannerist Art, Baroque Art, Prints and Drawings, and Museums and Cultural Heritage.
